Sunday Morning Events
Bus Ministry (8:00am-9:00am)
We run bus routes for Sunday morning services as well as Wednesday night services. Our busses arrive in time for Sunday School, and depart after service.
Sunday School (9:00am-9:50am)
We have Sunday School classes available for all ages (Yes, even yours!)! Come join us for Sunday School as our teachers lead us through the Biblical story for our encouragement.
The primary reason we gather together is for the purpose of worshipping God, as He is revealed in Jesus Christ. This purpose is accomplished most fully on Sunday mornings as we gather together. On a Sunday morning worship service, you can expect to worship through song, with both contemporary worship music and traditional hymns. Following our worship through song, Pastor Mike will bring the Word, usually preaching through books of the Bible. Pastor Mike tends to preach for approximately 30 minutes. Our worship is accompanied by special music participation, prayer, and a call to response.
JAM – Jesus and Me (10:30am-11:30am)
At First Baptist Church, we strongly encourage children to worship through both song and the Word with their parents, as we believe that parents are to be the primary disciple-makers in their home. However, we also realize that this isn’t always as easy as it sounds. Children of any age are more than welcome to remain with their parents through the entire service. But for those who would like a different approach, we also offer JAM (Jesus and Me). The younger school age children are given the opportunity to attend our Children’s church, where the message is tailored to their age group, and accompanied by activities. JAM takes place after our time of worship through song as a congregation.
At least once per quarter, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper.
For our members, we hold a business meeting once per month. This will always be scheduled in advance, and can be found on our calendar. Our business meetings are always on Sunday, but vary between morning and evening services. Check our calendar for details on this month’s meeting!
